Welcome to Carplo. By accessing or using the Carplo app or website at carplo.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Carplo, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Carplo.

2. Description of Service

Carplo is a family coordination app that helps parents manage kids' activity schedules, coordinate carpools, and share schedules with family members. Features include schedule building, carpool coordination, SMS notifications, and shareable calendar feeds.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use Carplo. You may register using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

4. Subscription Tiers and Payments

Carplo offers the following service tiers:

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time and your subscription will remain active through the end of the billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. SMS Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS notifications, you consent to receive transactional text messages from Carplo. These messages are sent only in response to carpool scheduling events. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by removing your phone number in account settings.

Carplo is intended for use by adults (parents and guardians). You agree to only enter a child's first and last name into the app and not to input sensitive personal information about minors such as dates of birth, school names, or medical information. Carplo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Shared Links and Calendars

When you share a schedule link or calendar feed, anyone with that link can view the associated schedule. You are responsible for managing who you share links with. Carplo is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from sharing links with unintended recipients.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Carplo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Carplo is a coordination tool — you remain solely responsible for your children's transportation and safety.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carplo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Carplo in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deactivated within 30 days.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice in the app. Your continued use of Carplo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
